Feeling Better, Getting Better (Day Five)

So I'm on my fifth day now of eating Raw.....and I feel sooo much better! I think after getting through the 3rd (or 4th?) day hump it all just starts working and coming together. I have much more confidence in myself and have a lot more energy. It was totally worth the headaches and cravings (although, I'm still having some of those ;D). I have so much less to complain about now. No more "I'm fat, and nobody likes me" or "Mmm I'm gunna eat this whole pizza". I have NOTHING to feel bad about... Everything I eat is living and wondrous. I LOVE it. Even writing (or typing) gets me hyped up about it. I look in the mirror now and actually LOVE myself. I used to just exist, now I live. If anyone is considering doing this "lifestyle change" I say GO FOR IT! You will feel alive and better within one week.

Love and Peace too all,
Autumn ♥

ps: stayed tuned for more of my daily experiences. :) the 30 day challenge isn't over yet!

  1. Your post is so raw and I love that! Good for you, Autumn. So proud of your honesty. Your words are healing you from within! Such unrelenting courage in just a few days. :)

  2. Ok, I just posted that above post...I dont know how in the world I posted in your wall with your icon...what did I do? Oh well, it's from me, Mommy.

  3. Hi Autumn and mom! :) I saw the Raw Food Challenge movie link posted on Kimberly's fb, and watched it. I've done juice fasts and raw before, for a week or two, and felt wonderful, but always slid back to SAD and binging on carbs.

We've had a tumultuous couple of years in our family, and I've put on 40 pounds in the last two years. I'm 51, and starting to have symptoms of type 2 diabetes. Long story short, I started the challenge last week. I started on Tuesday, but had a binge episode Wednesday, and began watching the video all the way through, reading Gabriel Cousens' book and articles, steeping myself in this shift in eating.

I got back on the raw horse, and feel much better already. I don't know why, but I want today, June 1st, to be my first day of the challenge. My mind really needs the discipline of that 30 day period of time, and June fits perfectly! So, even though I've been doing well eating raw for a few days now, today is officially the start of my 30 days!

I love reading about your journey here, Autumn, and it inspires me. Thank you. <3

I haven't posted on my blog in months, but we're an unschooling family:

My daughter is 23, and got married in April, my sons are 16 and 17. These days, they are both concerned with eating what they call "training diets", as Jesse trains for a marathon, and Owen trains for speedskating. They are eating lots of lean meat and whole grains, so their meals don't resemble mine at all, but that's okay.

Anyway! I'm excited about the raw food challenge and changing my lifestyle! Thanks again for the chance to see your journey here! ~ Laura

  4. I am really interested in learning more about raw foods. It is overwhelming to think of giving up all the junk I eat! But, I am drawn to this somehow. I guess it's time for me to read up on it. Thanks for the inspiration :)
